Blizzard Is Getting Ready for BlizzCon 08

On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment announced that the third BlizzCon Gaming Convention will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on October 10 and 11. This is the perfect event for PC game enthusiasts, as they will get the chance to meet other Starcraft, Diablo or Warcraft fanatics and also take part in a wide range of activities especially prepared by Blizzard.

Mike Morhaime, chief executive officer and co-founder of Blizzard, said while talking about the upcoming event that it is always a great experience to meet Blizzard gamers from different parts of the world. BlizzCon will surely stir up a lot of interest and the tickets, even though priced $100 a piece, will undoubtedly be sold out in no time.

Blizzard is known to have taken advantage of heavily attended events that are widely covered by the media, to introduce new games. Last May, at the Blizzard World Invitational in Seoul, South Korea, the long expected Starcraft II was shown for the very first time; a few lucky fans were able to play the game in single-player and two-vs-two, but they could only use two races, Terran and Protoss. During the BlizzCon 07, Blizzard presented World of Warcraft’s second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. For this year’s BlizzCon, rumors about new games are already being spread among gamers everywhere, but nothing on this has officially been announced yet.
