Honda to give Senna a Formula One test
The Honda Formula One team announced Monday that Bruno Senna will test the Honda RA108 car for the Japanese team at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona later this month.

Senna, a nephew of racing legend Ayrton Senna, currently races in the GP2 Series but will attend the team's first winter test for three days November 17-19 so Honda can assess how the Brazilian has developed in his career to date.

"We are delighted to provide Bruno with the opportunity to test for us later this month as we continue to explore all the driver options available to us for next season," said Honda team principal Ross Brawn.

"After an impressive year in GP2 this will be a chance for Bruno to prove that he is ready to make the step up to Formula One."

Senna, 25, said he was looking forward to the challenge.

"I am obviously very excited about being given my first Formula One test and to have that opportunity with Honda is a dream come true," he said.

"Although I am still only in my fourth year of motor racing, I have wanted to test an F1 car for a very long time and I feel that I am ready for that challenge."

Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello were the Honda drivers for the 2008 F1 season but Senna is favourite to replace countryman Barrichello for next season.
